SOAR Entrepreneurship school programmes
SOAR was established in the fall of 2018 by Henry Greenberg. Henry created the SOAR program as an entry in the Entrepreneurship Promotion Plan category of DECA. He realized the importance of fostering 21st century skills in students after extensive reading about the importance of innovation in the education system. In combining his passion for education and entrepreneurship Henry created SOAR, an innovative in-school entrepreneurship program.
In November/December 2018, Henry launched the SOAR program in an intermediate language-arts classroom. Upon completing the four week program, Henry received positive feedback from student participants and staff. In February 2019, Henry presented the SOAR program at the DECA Ontario competition in Toronto. He was awarded with a trip to Orlando, Florida and designated as a "Provincial Champion" for his work.
Henry is looking forward to continuing the SOAR program in more schools across Halton (Burlington, Milton, Oakville) as well as offering virtual programs to students across the globe.
